Dear Family and Friends,

What a week!   It's the eight days of the Jewish Passover.  It's Holy Week.  Easter Sunday is approaching for all Christians: for Catholics and Protestants, and this year, on the same Sunday, for the Orthodox.

Earlier this month was the Shia Muslim holiday of Milad un Nabi, the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.

Next month the Thai Buddhist festival of Songkran will rain down on us all.

So, I turn my attention to religion.  No, not to the miracle of the Exodus or to the promise of The Resurrection.  I turn my attention to a mundane activity, but one that touches us all, everywhere, with joy and pride.

The First Haircut!
